Celebration Iowa is a summer music education and performance program designed to offer professional level performing and educational experiences to talented Iowa youth. Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing, the Program Director manages, supervises, organizes and executes all phases of the Celebration Iowa program. Duties include managing a $240K budget; fundraising; marketing; recruiting, hiring and supervising summer staff and cast members; supervising and executing day-to-day operations with student workers; leading a volunteer parent committee; setting and executing the strategic plan of the organization; and producing the summer show in collaboration with the Artistic Director. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and passionate about arts education; be a creative problem solver with the ability to think “out of the box” and initiate new ideas to improve the organization; have experience in organizational, personnel, and fiscal management as well as fundraising and marketing; possess at least a Bachelors Degree in an arts or management related field; have experience working with high school music teachers and students; and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively.
